Banks vs. Brokers

Lots of fun things have happened in the mortgage business over that last few months.  I recently heard a Large Local Bank Owner pick on us mortgage brokers who have to follow a new state law.  I wish he had to publish how many "application fees" his bank has collected and never returned to the customers for the mortgage applications  his " non commissioned" loans officers took an application on families who couldnt qualify for his loans.

I have met at least 5 of them in the last month.

I would tell anyone to work with a Mortgage Professional, a person who makes his living off the interest rate they sell you.  Most smart people realize that everyone is making some money some where, and they will save you time and money in the long run.
